About our project



Why Courage Gowns?

From the wide array of X-Rays, CT and MRI scans to dental exams, etc…Medical visits can be very frightening to pediatric patients. MRI Ingenuity realized the need to help pediatric patients through their medical procedures. We were inspired to create Courage Gowns. They are designed to boost morale and instill courage in pediatric patients. Imagine blasting off to the moon as an astronaut…or landing a Boeing 777 plane…or performing a solo dance in front of a sold out crowd…the possibilities are endless with Courage Gowns. Let imagination run free as these medical procedures are completed with less anxiety.

The “We are Courage” Movement

It begins with a statement “We are Courage” but what does it mean? As health care professionals we have witnessed the fear and anxiety that medical procedures can cause. As a parent talking to your child about a procedure that involves needles can be disheartening, the look on your child is heartbreaking. As an individual we can make a difference. Patients and their families should have all means necessary to complete these procedures with minimal effects. This is the Courage movement, we can improve the system one health care setting at a time.

What will the funds be used for?

The money raised will help us purchase the initial run of inventory of Courage Gowns. We can then send out sample gowns and brochures to potential customers for use in the health care field such as hospitals and dental clinics. We will also be using the proceeds to further improve and enhance our current designs.

Risks and challenges

When we started with the concept of Courage Gowns it was a simple and practical solution to help lessen fear and anxiety for medical procedures. We were met with minimum quotas and design production costs that were out of this world. Through patience and determination we found the right designers and manufacturers to work together to take that chance to bring this concept to the life.

Pursuing the correct individuals and institutions to embrace the concept of Courage Gowns to better medical procedures will be the next challenge. We believe that once you see what Courage Gowns represents, it is priceless.
