About Me
Dr. Robinson is the Founder of Fortis Industries, LLC, a multi-line provider of medical and laboratory products and services to the federal and state government as well as the military. She also works as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Genesys Innovations, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield Nebraska. Her primary responsibilities include sourcing, vetting, and testing external innovation for partnership and co-development, all with the intention to bring innovative, cost-saving health solutions to market. Prior to her work with Fortis Industries, she was the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Syan Biosciences. During her tenure at Syan Biosciences, she was principally responsible for the creation of Syan’s product and commercialization strategy for its point-of-care diagnostic test for the developing world. In this role, she identified and evaluated in-licensing opportunities and developed specific expertise in point-of-care diagnostic manufacturing, regulatory, pricing, and market intelligence relative to the target markets. Dr. Robinson is a physician entrepreneur, healthcare innovator, advisor, and investor and is passionate about helping underserved entrepreneurs create and grow innovative businesses that solve real healthcare challenges. Dr. Robinson earned her MD degree from the University of Kansas, and an MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado.
