The 2017 AMIA Pitch IT Competition

(Applications closed)

a Medical Informatics Innovation Challenge

Welcome to the AMIA Pitch IT Competition

Jump start your latest innovation in medical informatics by applying to participate in the AMIA Pitch IT competition. The competition is designed to find and accelerate the best new ideas in healthcare that use medical and biomedical informatics to improve clinical outcomes, drive down the cost of care, and improve the healthcare experience for patients, care providers, medical professionals, and institutions. We believe that better information management, dissemination, and analysis makes for better care. Winning pitches will be eligible to receive a minimum of $5,000 up to $12,500 to fund development of the innovation.

We are running a crowd challenge with MedStartr because we know that all people involved in healthcare matter and we want to listen to everyone about which ideas they like best for their care, their practice, their hospital, and their company. Medicine is on the threshold of vast changes driven by both market forces and the emergence and application of new technologies. By embracing and enabling such innovation, we can change healthcare on a broad scale.

Five finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete on stage for top prizes and the interest of our 2017 AMIA conference attendees on November 6th. Help us pick the most innovative healthcare solutions by casting your vote here
