About Me

I have worked in the field of Eating Disorder, Chemical Dependency, and Codependency Recovery since 1999. I also enjoy supporting women through Pregnancy and Postpartum. The area of focus for my doctoral research was on re-image-ing the body using expressive arts. My postdoctoral work included working in residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care with women and their families in eating disorder recovery. Currently, I have a private practice in San Francisco. I enjoy working with women in recovery and their families. I also specialize in assisting women with surviving and thriving during pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood, including treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Other areas of specialty include: cultivating spirituality in recovery, career visioning, using expressive arts to access nonverbal parts of the self, and relationship issues. For professionals, I offer consultation and trainings on Eating Disorders, Body Image distortion, and Expressive Arts therapy for Counseling agencies and interns. I have taught classes on Eating Disorders, Expressive Arts, and Dual Diagnosis at College of Marin and JFK University. For clients, I offer eating disorder recovery and soulcollage(r) groups as well as weekend workshops in expressive arts on such topics as Vision Boards, SoulCollage(r), and Re-image-ing the Body. I facilitate groups for pregnant and postpartum new Moms. My orientation is ecclectic, and includes integrating CBT/DBT tools with a Humanistic relationship-oriented approach. I am familiar with 12 step programs and can support people in this approach to recovery. My training is primarily in Imaginal Psychology. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California and Licensed SoulCollage(r) facilitator trained by Seena Frost, MFT. I also have certification from Postpartum International's (PSI)'s Perinatal Mood and Anxiety components of care.
