Imagine a world where people can easily interact with their doctor and doctors are rewarded for helping patients navigate their way back to greatly improved health regardless of whether the doctor was physically with the patient or not. How it Works

In three easy steps, a doctor can register, invite patients and easily start communicating with patients on a 1:1 or 1:many basis. First and foremost, this drives healthier patients and better outcomes. As a byproduct, Avado also helps physicians comply with Medicare and Medicaid programs that are driving patient engagement (“Stage 2 Meaningful Use” is an incentive program for providers and hospitals to use electronic health records). Avado Communicator is the entry level and is free.

Designed For Patients

At a time convenient to them, patients can do the following:

  • Schedule appointments
  • Request Rx refills
  • Ask care-related questions
  • Stay informed on the latest relevant information curated by their doctor
  • If desired, have their doctor remotely monitor their health.

On top of that, it removes the annoyance of filling out the same forms over and over at various providers. Forms can be completed at home, on a mobile device or on a tablet/kiosk in the office.

Built for Doctors and Their Teams

In less than 30 minutes, MDs can implement the technology to address the patient engagement requirements of Stage 2 Meaningful Use at no cost. In the process, they are well positioned to successfully transition from the fee-for-service to the fee-for-value reimbursement shift that is rapidly taking place. Before having taken a dime of outside capital or spending a dime on marketing, we’ve built a very complete Patient Relationship Management system that has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, NY Times and other industry publications. Avado was also a finalist in world’s most competitive startup competition — TechCrunch Disrupt. Our thought leadership has led to invitations to the White House, presentations before the head of Medicare and Pioneer ACOs. Now we’re ready to take the next step with your help.

The Avado solution is already up and works great, but we want to create the capability to connect to ANY biometric device and pass that information back to your doctor. Devices like FitBit, which measure activity, and the new AgaMatrix Glucose meter that connects to your SmartPhone are telling patients everything they need to know about their health. Wouldn’t it be great if their doctor also could read the data and react to it? By creating a way for all these devices to communicate with Avado, we will help patients and their doctors have meaningful conversations with the best data on hand – patient generated data. With 75% of healthcare costs being related to chronic conditions, maintaining active communication and connection between providers and patients is vital.   • Dave Chase (Co-founder & CEO): Founder of the most successful technology platform business in healthcare (as head of Microsoft’s health platform business) and deeply experienced in healthIT having implemented or reviewed over 100 healthIT systems and worked in 25 different healthcare facilities from small rural facilities to inner city urban hospitals.
