Lois Drapin, MPS-HSA is founder and CEO of The Drapin Group LLC, an advisory and consulting firm for CEOs, their executive teams + investors in the pharmaceutical, digital and mobile health-healthcare sectors.Her clients are emerging companies and intrapreneurial initiatives operating in a 'build' mode. Drapin's extensive and long-standing relationships accelerate growth, new market entry, and successful business/corporate development. She is a Fellow at the Healthcare Innovation and Technology (HIT) Lab located at Columbia University. Assignments include multiple years with Johnson & Johnson, United Healthcare, Optum HealthAllies, Happtique, Kognito, Physicians Interactive/Skyscape + specialized projects with Adidas, Vivometrics (The Life Vest), and Healthline. She has held senior positions with WebMD, Wyeth and others. She has advised CEOs of WEGO Health, Clinical Care Options, and Rip Road. Areas of focus include: mhealth, patient/consumer engagement, social media, data mining, eCME, women’s health, health data, DNA testing and behavior change solutions. Drapin is an innovator and technology pioneer in the transformation of how health care is delivered, accessed, experienced, and perceived by consumers and healthcare professionals. Select highlights include: ▪ Leadership of three pharma and tech innovation teams ▪ Launch of the first direct-to-consumer health products to part-time under-insured employees on behalf of three key national insurers and a self-insured employer consortium ▪ Responsible for relationship with RWJF resulting in $800K grant award for behavior change simulation experience products (antibiotics in primary care, parenting) ▪ Use of first patient longitudinal data sets for the launch of prescription products ▪ Capture and measurement of human emotion using wearable sensors, facial analysis expression, and video for health purchasing and decision making ▪ Executive team member for several ground-breaking mHealth/digital companies
