Recently worked for Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency (DHS/CBP) as Environment Owner of the world-wide ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) Cargo Production hardware and software environments (Truck, Sea, Rail cargo). ACE is the data source and accounting of Trade industry activities and one of the federal government’s largest business environments. First half of ten-year CBP project was Lead Enterprise Architect, creating procedures & change management controls for development of ACE business environment. Second half was ACE Production Environment Owner. Extracurricular activities included contributing author to book, Data Breach and Encryption Handbook, published by American Bar Association, Science & Technology group. The next twelve years involved being commercial software developer and technical product representative at Applied Data Research (ADR) for DATACOM Relational Database product and related products, and becoming Director of International Support. Careers followed in process improvement, information architecture, database marketing, and product manager with GE Operations and Marketing, Verizon, Burlington Northern Railroad, Maryland Bank of North America, Credit Card Clearing House, TXU, and recently for IBM Federal Division’s Modernization program for US Customs (ACE).
