What is the Spawtless Toothbrush?
Spawtless Toothbrush is a 3-in-1 toothbrush designed to make cleaning your pet’s teeth more enjoyable for both you and your pet. Spawtless Toothbrush easily attaches to your pet’s toothpaste container and dispenses it through the toothbrush’s head while you brush your pet’s teeth. After just a few sessions with the Spawtless Toothbrush, your pet will associate teeth cleaning with playtime and let you brush their teeth.
The Design
The Spawtless Toothbrush patent-pending design consists of 2 main parts: the handle, and the head.
*The handle is ergonomically designed for better grip and is small enough to fit in your pet’s mouth. The bottom part has a universal thread that can be attached to any pet toothpaste container or can be used alone. The handle is lightweight and made from recyclable nontoxic materials.
*The head is made from nontoxic, eco-friendly, soft silicone. It has bristles on one side and a tongue cleaner on the other. The bristles are specifically designed to minimize gum bleeding and discomfort while brushing. A small hole is added to the head to allow toothpaste to be dispensed through it.

How to use the Spawtless Toothbrush:
Note: Before starting any dental routine it is recommended that you select a pet toothpaste that you know your pet likes. We recommend using flavored toothpaste.
- Remove cap from the toothpaste container
- Screw Spawtless Toothbrush to toothpaste container
- Squeeze toothpaste container until toothpaste comes out through the toothbrush’s head
- Bring the brush close to your pet’s mouth and let them try to lick the toothpaste (this is why we recommend to always use toothpaste that you know your pet likes)
- Brush your dog’s teeth using the Spawtless Toothbrush and squeeze the toothpaste container as needed.
Our Story
As a dog owner, I know that your furry friends aren’t just pets, they’re family. I was lucky enough to adopt Niki and Elise 6 years ago and they have been a huge part of my life ever since. Dogs are a source of joy and love and I would do anything for them. So when the vet diagnosed Niki with periodontal disease I was devastated. I felt as if I had let her down. Every day my dogs are at the door waiting patiently for me to get home to smother me with love and kisses, and all they expect in return is for you to show you care. I couldn’t just sit there without doing anything; it was my turn to be there for them.
First I searched the pet stores for something that would work and bought many of the products. I even tried human designed products, but none of them reinforced brushing behavior and they were not designed for animals.
So I decided to make one.
I wanted so badly for this product to exist not only to help cure Niki but also help prevent my other dog from going through the same thing. To develop my idea I got together with Sergio, a mechanical engineer who is also an animal lover and a dog owner, and together we designed the first Spawtless Toothbrush. After our success with the first prototype and a few additional design improvements we are proud to offer the Spawtless Toothbrush to you and your pet.
Through the Spawtless Toothbrush and our story, we hope to bring awareness about periodontal disease to other pet owners. As Benjamin Franklin famously said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” So why not start a dental care routine for your pet now before it is too late?
Use of Spawtless Toothbrush to Fight Periodontal Disease
Did you know that periodontal disease is the most common disease in dogs? Every year millions of dogs are diagnosed with some sort of dental disease. Small dog breeds, which tend to have crowded teeth, are more prone to develop the disease.
Every time your dog eats food particles accumulate along their gum line and over time form plaque and calculus. Without proper dental care this can lead to two types of periodontal disease: Gingivitis (which is inflammation of gums) and Periodontitis (a more severe gum infection that can lead to tooth decay and loss). Treatment for this disease depends on how advanced the problem is, but even at the early stages it can costs hundreds of dollars to help fight the disease and teeth can be lost, not to mention tooth aches.
The good news is that this problem can be prevented by maintaining good oral hygiene and brushing your dog’s teeth, gums, and cleaning their tongue on a regular basis.
Our Production Schedule
Our current design and production schedule is as follows:
The toothbrush will be assembled in the United States and made from US and imported components. All components have been meticulously selected, will be lead-free and made of nontoxic recyclable materials.
Why Medstartr?
We are launching Spawtless Toothbrush on Medstartr to help fund our tooling manufacturers, packaging suppliers, assembly and inspection, shipping, and part procurement.
As a thank you to our backers we would like to include them in the design process. Backers that support us with $5 or more will be able to vote on the color of the first Spawtless Toothbrush.
Also, we are including packages for any small, medium, and big distributors that would like to support us on this product.
The Future
We are currently working on the design of a Spawtless Toothbrush that will work for larger dog breeds. Also, our long-term plan is to not only to provide innovate dental products for small and large pets but also to create pet products that would help simplify the coexistence with our pets.

Niki
Niki is a six-year old Italian Greyhound that loves to run, play with her friends, and sunbathe. She enjoys early morning walks with mom and dad and loves to chase after birds and squirrels. Also, she is always in the mood for a good massage or for someone to pet her. Last but not least, Niki is very affectionate and loves kissing everyone.
Elise
Elise is a very charismatic six-year old Italian Greyhound. She loves to play with other dogs and is always looking to make new friends. She is a fighter; at age 4 she was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, had surgery to remove the little tumor and has been cancer free since then. She is a very fast runner and loves to sprint at the park. Her favorite food is sweet potatoes.
Twister
Twister is a 10-year old Maltese and is Nacho’s dad. He is very calm and loves to just relax on any tile floor. He also enjoys playing with any soft squeaky toy and can play fetch with you all day.His favorite food is lettuce and ice cream.
Nacho
Nacho is a six-year old Maltese and Twister’s son. He loves to be by your side all the time and will follow you wherever you go. Despite his small frame he is very agile and loves to run around the house. His favorite hobby is climbing on top of you and begging for attention.
Kyra
Kyra is a six-year old Yorkshire Terrier. She loves to take long walks with mom at any time of the day all year long. Even when it rains, she is happy to put on a raincoat and go outside for a walk. She is also a fashionista and loves to change her hairstyle often.

Spawtless Toothbrush has been tested by real dogs. However, your dog’s safety is your responsibility. Inspect this toothbrush frequently, if it is damaged or worn, please replace it immediately. This product is not for consumption or to be used on humans.

Risks and challenges
We do not anticipate having any risks and challenges regarding the product itself. However, the manufacturing of our product may take longer than anticipated if the manufacturer encounters any issue with the tooling and adjustments need to be made. This problem could shift the delivery of our product to you but we will send you an email as soon as we get more information from our manufacturers.
FAQs
How often do I need to brush my pet’s teeth?
It is recommended that your brush your pet’s teeth at least three times a week.
Who can use the Spawtless Toothbrush?
Our current design is made for small dog breeds and cats. We are currently working on a new Spawtless Toothbrush design that can be used on medium and large dog breeds.
Do I have to clean the brush after I use it?
We recommend that you rinse the toothbrush’s head with water after every use. You do not need to remove the head from the handle to do this.
Can I attach the Spawtless Toothbrush to any brand of toothpaste?
We designed the Spawtless Toothbrush to fit in most doggy and cat’s toothpaste tubes. It would not fin on any of the foam toothpaste containers or any other container that does not come with a regular toothpaste cap.
Is the product safe for my pet?
At Howling Greyhound we carefully selected the toothbrush materials so that is safe for your pet and the environment. The handle is made of polypropylene and the head is made of soft non toxic silicone.
Which toothpaste should I use?
Never use human toothpaste to brush your pet’s teeth because it contains ingredients that can be very toxic for your furry friend. Always use toothpaste that has been formulated for dogs and cats.
Also, we recommend you try flavored toothpaste on your pet because it seems to appeal pets the most.
Will you ship internationally?
Yes, please just add $15 for international shipping or more for larger shipments. Sorry, we need to cover costs and there is often VAT to deal with. Get a Distributor Pack though and resell or give them as gifts for your kennel or dog walkers club, we would love that!
What happens when I run out of toothpaste?
After the toothpaste container is empty you can replace it with a new one or you can wash the toothbrush and use it without a toothpaste container.
Can I use it without a toothpaste container?
Yes, you can use the toothbrush without attaching it to a toothpaste container.
Is it safe to put in the microwave or dishwasher?
No, this product cannot designed to go into a microwave or dishwasher.
