Office staff squint at printouts and try to remember the name and number of the cardiologist or pediatrician on call, and instead of attending to an emergency or consult the message is late or unreliable. Clerks are overworked, paper is outdated and reliable paging is a constant issue and healthcare proessionals need a better solution. It is time to retire printouts and landlines and get doctors the contact they need fast, and help clerks do their job more effectively.
Digital Clerk enables one-click paging from the palm of your hand. Digital Clerk allows an individual healthcare professional to quickly pull up physician contact information and send critical messages with ease and without the need of a hospital-wide implementation. We know that automation helps with efficiency, especially in healthcare, and our Digital Clerk solution does just that for paging and connecting doctors. Our solution can be deployed quickly because it does not require the healthcare professional receiving the message to use our mobile application. They can utilize a cell phone, smartphone, pager, or landline/hospital line. Our solution will deliver the message in the form most suitable for them (voice call and/or text message).
Our team has interview numerous healthcare professionals and physicians, attended national medical conferences, and tailored our solution strictly for the use cases and workflows encountered by healthcare professionals, physicians, specialists, hospitalists, and nurses.
If there is something that you do not like about your current messaging solution or workflow, we may have already addressed it with our solution. We have implemented everything from automatic re-paging and tracking page responses times to secure self-destructing HIPAA compliant messaging and automatic Internet calling when a mobile signal is not available. Our digital clerk solution is fast, seamless and simple.
Our solution will allow healthcare professionals of all types to concentrate on providing superb care and increase their effectiveness and efficiency. This will lead to better care, reduced wait times, and improved patient satisfaction and we all can appreciate that!
Digital Clerk will allow you to upload a comprehensive list of healthcare professionals and their corresponding contact information. Using your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone you can quickly select a healthcare professional and send an automated voice call and/or text message with a couple of taps on the screen. The system intelligently prompts you for additional information depending on the receiver’s phone type. You can include secure patient-specific information or a voice message with general patient information (if calling a landline or hospital line).
If a voice call is sent, the system will initiate the call and play a custom automated voice message with your name, hospital, and contact number. The system will allow the receiver to automatically connect the current call or send you a text message stating that they will contact you shortly. If a text message is sent, the system will include your name, hospital, and contact number in the message. You will also have the option of including a link to a secure website with self-destructing, HIPAA compliant patient information that is manually typed through the mobile app.
This version of our solution will allow an individual healthcare professional to quickly pull up physician contact information and send critical messages with ease and without the need of a hospital-wide implementation.

Improving the communication efficiency and effectiveness of your doctors and nurses can lead to better patient care and improved doctor/nurse and patient satisfaction. It can also lead to better Medicare reimbursement rates based on new regulations introduced by the Affordable Care Act.
Digital Clerk will help to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare professionals’ communication workflows. Poor communication processes can contribute to undesirable medical outcomes which can lead to litigation and/or other legal issues. Our solution can help to decrease medical errors which in turn can reduce medical insurance company cost related to readmissions and other medical related costs.
We are also looking to integrate with wearable technologies, which include smartwatches. These technologies will help to streamline the use of our solution by not requiring the healthcare professional to always pull out their phone in order to interact with the user interface. Wearable technologies will allow the user to access frequently used functionality through interacting with a smartwatch that is durable and more accessible.
We are currently working on adding additional functionality to the system based on the feedback received from healthcare professionals in various disciplines including nurses, specialists, hospitalists, and primary care physicians. Your contributions will allow us to improve the functionality of the current system, conduct our pilot program, and investigate new integrations (smartwatches, etc).
Our team consists of two main members: Victor Emeli and Dr. Satta Emeli. Victor Emeli is an entrepreneur and engineer with over 15 years of experience developing software and hardware systems for the government agencies like the Department of Defense, Department of State, and the Center for Disease Control, as well as Fortune 500 companies, and startups. Dr. Satta Emeli is an emergency medicine physician with over 10 years of clinical experience in tertiary care, community-based, and Level 1 trauma hospital settings.
