About our project
We have designed and are building a simple way to help doctors handle all of their information in one place so they can be more efficient and free up their time to give better care.
The Problem We Solve:
There are over 1,900 unique products produced by nearly 1,000 developers in the healthcare space and over 44,000 healthcare apps for Android, Apple, and Windows OS platforms. A complex health care system requires diverse EHR products and devices. But an efficient complex healthcare system needs something more: software systems and hardware that can talk to each other and then to the people who use them. And one size does not fit all.
Medical devices and EHR products, whether used in a hospital, a provider’s office, or by a patient at home, must communicate information to the provider, the patient, and to the electronic health record. The information sharing needs to be seamless, but usually it is not.
Even though data sharing is required by law and software APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) must be published, providers and Health IT vendors do not always share individual level health information and may not do so widely or easily, if at all. There is just no business imperative to do so. This lack of information flow translates into reduced efficiency and less than ideal outcomes for providers and patients alike. Sometimes this leaves providers and patients locked into specific systems or brands. For providers, the training involved in switching systems becomes a compound productivity and revenue expense because of interruptions to work flow tied to switching or adding new products. And for patients this is a potentially expensive proposition because when a patient sees a new provider it can mean changing devices and a new learning curve, which in turn can result in lowered compliance.
EHR Console™ Solution:
EHR Console™ will talk to multiple EHR systems, devices, lab systems, and such platforms as prescribing, scheduling, and inventory management so all providers or patients need to do is use EHR Console. Add a patient once. Enter data once. Configure a device once. Subscribe to a service once. We will do the rest. We believe that EHR Console™ will be the last interface you will need to learn.
EHR Console™ will be the first healthcare API management console to synchronize and move Electronic Health Records data in conjunction with everyday apps and services using a single user interface. EHR Console will work as a front-line, everyday EHR information manager for healthcare professionals and patients. It will be based on flexible modules and complete systems including data entry and display, synchronized electronic health records, medical devices, and clinical and non-clinical management and support systems. EHR Console will allow secure data transfer between EHR systems and health care stakeholders. And it will provide patients with gated web access to both their providers and their health records. EHR Console will support telehealth and patient home monitoring, will go anywhere securely on mobile devices, and will be friendly to data analytics. EHR Console will build a bridge between the provision and reception of health services and the economic models that are part of healthcare today.
Our view is that the best approach to healthcare informatics and economics is to allow disparate systems to operate in a single access solution. We believe that the advantage of the EHR Console solution is the ease with which users will be able to continuously adapt it to changing healthcare work flows and a shifting regulatory framework. With EHR Console’s capacity to synchronize and manage electronic health records from varied systems and vendors, we believe providers as well as patients will become—and stay—more completely connected than ever before.
