The problem we solve: According to a recent survey, over 50% of cancer survivors delayed seeking treatment for over 2 months and over 15% waited 1 to 5 years. In total, 81% (1) decided to ignore symptoms, (2) de-prioritized care or (3) were anxious to see the doctor, which resulted in delay in seeking treatment. This has a hugely negative effect on treatment outcome because the illness will have progressed by the time the patient sees the doctor and performs the necessary tests.
About our solution: Aug-Mental, is an AI platform that helps provide insights from patients' behavioral data using wearable devices to detect deviations in their unique behavioral pattern. Our initial focus is early detection of depression in the elderly.Progress to date:

How We Will Make MoneyWe are building partnerships with different companies that provide AI solutions that would be useful in identifying patterns of disease, as well as companies that provide diagnostic devices and services. The added value for these partners would include access to data, ability to tap into additional AI resources and be a part of an en-to-end solution we will sell to customers. We will provide our customers, providers and payers, with healthcare AI solutions that solve specific medical challenges. We will mark these solutions up from the fee we pay to use the participating partners' APIs or SDKs and pocket the margin.
About our CompetitionOur competitors range from AI solution companies (Datu Health, Monsenso, Omada Health) to research/diagnostic platforms (Verily, FlowHealth, iCarbonX). Our competitors act like silos: they invest in their own clinical research and develop a specific methodology they offer to clients. What differentiates us is our crowdsourcing mechanism to leverage machine learning and research communities. We partnered with a machine learning community in China called Cruiser, and we are discussing a partnership with a Califirnia-based company collecting information on the clinical research done all around the world. We will leverage the research with our platform's data and get help from the machine learning community in solving challenges that are interesting to our customers. This mechanism will allow us to grow faster and solve more challenges and will make our platform more accurate and, at the same time, far-reaching.
